Just wondering who's using what to convert from front drum to power disc. Good experience? bad experience? 2 inch drop spindles? Or should I just find the factory stuff and maybe use a dual power booster just to save some room under the hood? This is for a 69 Dart

I just put a pair of 73 a body's spindles on my 69 and used 73 caliper and hardware

You will have to change the Master cyl to a 80's dodge ram larger bore for disc..and the upper A arms for a 73 a body

Call DoctorDiff. He sells everything you need, the ‘73 up disks are the way to go. Not a lot of donors left running around though, and then you have to rebuild all of it anyway.

No need to run power disk either if you use a 15/16” master cylinder. Way better pedal feel, and it’s really not that hard of a pedal with the right size MC.

Larger bore master cylinder is a terrible idea. 15/16” is the way to go.

Well, i can play "salesman" here, and let you know that i have this for your consideration, if you might be interested.

That’s good set up if you want to stay SBP.

Personally I wouldn’t bother with staying SBP I was already swapping spindles, more hassle than anything. But that’s just me.

Depends. Are you looking to go LBP or keep the small? How do you intend to drive the car? What are your expectations?

Photo is all Dr Diff parts. Nuff said. :)

Streetcar with some dragstrip passes. Just was concerned about the fade with the drum brakes had a bad experience with one of my friends cars. Disc also seem to be better for a left right balance

I went with 73 A body disc up front and Cherokee discs in the rear on my Fastback.
Stops with little effort..... but honestly I dont drive fast enough to need them .

The 69 340 Swinger is staying stock with drums all around. I did use smaller diameter master though. Havent driven it yet... we shall see how it stops.

I went with Viper brakes on my Duster.

72 Demon...FMJ body front discs and late B 11" rear drums w 15/16" master.
No power assist.
Works beautifully, stops fast and it's consistent/predictable.

There's also the brake-pedal ratio to be considered.
IMO, a manual system has a numerical larger (underdash) brake-pedal ratio than a power brake system.

I run a 15/16 MC on a ('73 factory) power brakepedal system.
2.75" ø C-body calipers.

I have a 70 Dart and am planning on doing a front disc upgrade in the spring. I too live in Cleveland. Maybe we share notes on this project. I want to keep my 14 inch sbp wheels for the stock look.
