1972 Fender extensions with a 1971 Grille

Thanks for the info. Exactly what I was looking for. I'll save my '72 extensions and trim since they are mint. I wonder why Oldmanmopar disagrees with this? Just curious?

Who knows. It's not like the grille mounts to the fender extensions. The depth of the grille didn't change. As with anything there are adjustments that can be made to change the clearances, the grille can be shifted around quite a bit on its mounts. The headlight bezels just mount to U-nuts, they move around. It's pretty clear looking at the parts that there's no reason the shallow extensions won't work with the '70 or '71 grille if they work with the '72.

It can take some patience to get the grille, headlight surrounds, fender extensions and latch panel all properly aligned. I know when I did the front clip swap on my Duster and converted it over to a '71 Demon fitting the fenders, grille and everything else took some time. The body tolerances on these cars were pretty loose, so when you start mixing and matching parts from different cars the fitting process can take a little longer because you have to get all those u-nuts sitting in the right spot for the car you're working on.
