CCW guys and gals- any good deals on firearms this week?
Will not say what I carry. That's for me to know and the local thugs to worry about. If you like Ruger, I got my wife one of these LCRx in .38 Special as a purse gun. It weighs less than a pound, has adjustable rear sight and the 3" barrel makes it a well balanced and accurate little personal carry weapon.
And being a revolver, is much less likely to malfunction or jam and you don't need both hands free to put a round in the chamber as you do with a semi-auto. If somebody jumps you or body slams you to the ground, you are not going to have the time to jack around with racking the slide of a semi-auto even if you can get both hands free......
This year, Ruger came out with a .357 Magnum version. Definitely worth checking out. It will be a bit heavier, as Ruger had to go with 400 series stainless steel for added strength when making one in .357 Magnum. But these are still small and light enough that it wouldn't be a hassle to carry a couple of them, which would give you 10 shots......
