Need A Little help Please

Well, that went poorly. I am thinking in the OP’s case if it would be viable for him to switch to 5.13 gears first. That’s a given for the projected performance in the eighth. Then before determining anything else check the cranking compression and confirm that everything is where its supposed to be. If it were mine I would be checking the ICL on the cam and the piston to valve clearance to determine how much I could advance the cam. Coming up on the pipe late with little torque off the line would have me suspicious of the cam being installed with excessive retard. Not saying that the converter is optimum either, but it’s certainly less expensive to see if it’s possible to get the existing cam and converter working together for the intended outcome than it is to order a custom converter.
