340 motor pumping excess oil on right side

Hi all looking for some expert advice on my 1969 340 motor pumping excess oil on right side , if I run a breather cap and tube to carb ( holley 750 dp) on 7576 air gap intake , it sucks the oil and fouls plugs to a no start situation , please note the valve covers do have a baffles at breather ports ,does not burn oil blow blue is strong and runs fine if I just cap it with non breather its fine or a mesh breather it will sometime dribble out as well any thoughts ? appreciated thnx
I believe you may have something confused here.
You state that you are running " a breather cap and tube to the carb"
- If you are talking about the the large port on the carb base plate this has full manifold vacuum and should be only connected to the PVC.
- The breather/tube in the opposite valve cover of the PVC should be plumbed to the air cleaner.
