I bet a stock 10.75 high stall would outperform it. I just haven't heard many good things about TCI converters, at least their Mopar ones.

I agree that's probably not a performance converter of any caliber, BUT, nowadays, diameter has little to do with converter flash speed anymore. Nothing like it used to. You can get a 12" converter made to flash 4500 if that's what you want. I feel SURE that's not what he has, like you've pointed out. Converter technology though, has evolved greatly in the past 15......even 10 years.
