I have to notch the oil pan on my 360sb. In order to fit rack and pinion p/steer rack. I need to get around 10mm clearance between rack and notch tunnel. I have fitted a pair of 6mm spacers on the engine mounts , but still probably need about the same again to give the desired clearance. . Is 12mm spacer OK or will this cause unforseen issues??

Drive line angle, bellhousing hitting the tunnel/pinch weld seam, radiator hoses fit funny, hood clearance to air cleaner, Possible torsion bar/header clearance, Shifter linkage issues, and driving dynamics from the engine sitting higher.

Hood Clearance /pinch weld seam hoses all OK. Shifter linkage issues was a concern i had, but i think that can be worked around. What type of driving dynamics??

Putting the weight of the engine higher. If a street car probably not a big deal. If you looking to compete in any serious road racing events then it could become an issue.
