Indeed! And it's better if you only have to shim the crank pulley. You could get a shim that's close enough and get your favorite friendly machinist to mill or Blanchard grind it to the thickness you need. (EDIT) You'll probably have to space the alternator out the same amount, too, but some washers between the alternator mounting brackets and the main alternator bolt work. Fastenal is your best friend.
