Take a look at these C2Cfabrication floor pans...

Well, it looks like going cheap bit me again. I've been replacing floor pans in my '68 and bought drop-ins for the front and then the rear because I didn't trust my amatuer metal fabrication skills with doing full pan halves. In hindsight, that's what I should have done.
I bought the cheapest front pans I could find from Year One. No telling where they were made, but I suspect not on these shores. Maybe? I dunno. They fit very well and looked exactly like the pans I cut out. There was one spot under the gas pedal that needed heating and stretching because the stamping was too shallow, but really nothing major.
So, fresh off that victory, I went back to Year One for the rears. Well, rears are quite expensive, which should have been a warning. So, I went to eBay and shopped around. I ended up ordering 2 rear drop-ins(that's what I call them) from this place...C2Cfabrication based right in the Motor City. I've already searched their name here before starting this post, and I know they are Veteran-owned and that they are promoted here with discounts, so this will probably tick off a few people, but it is what it is!
This is what I pulled out of the box. I know what the stickers say, and what the receipt says, but what is this? Is this a joke? These couldn't have been stamped on a press. This is flat metal that has been bent on a brake with token impressions made to replicate the deep strengthening ribs on the original Mopar floor pans.
This looks like someone held up a picture of a Dart rear floor pan to someone standing several feet away, or maybe via Facetime, and the other person says, "Yeah, I can probably make something like that". What makes this so much more of a piss-off isn't the fact that I wasted money on these things, but that it's slathered all over everywhere that it's MADE IN THE USA. I would do the usual rueful shaking of my head and resignation to make it work if these things had came over from the far reaches of the Pacific Rim, but they didn't!! The China "crap" looks tons better than this!
Despite these pictures, someone is GOING to defend this, maybe because it's so and so, and we love so and so, blah blah blah. I don't care. This is an extremely poor replication of floor pans. If qualified R&D and labor is still so expensive even in Detroit so that this is the best they can do at this price point, I suggest they stop selling them before their reputation goes down the drain. If anyone still doubts that these things are a joke perpetrated on us...I haven't started working on the left one yet and I'll be glad to post a video showing how they fit AS PRODUCED.
My floors aren't that bad, so I can use about half of these for my repairs, but otherwise I would have sealed the box back up and they would have had them sitting on their doorstep.
P.S. the last picture is of the fronts, for comparison sake.
