This ^^^^^ is exactly what I am going to do. Since Matt uses PPG products, I am going to prep a piece of metal, paint it with the Rustoleum spray safety red I have and send it to the paint store so they can match it with a high quality single stage enamel. Since I work for Matt now, I will get his discount on the paint. This way, I will have the right kind of paint that has all the UV protection in it and it will last. More progress forthcoming.

II would check with the paint experts and ask IF single stage ACRYLIC URETHANE is not better than single stage acrylic enamel? Close to same price I bet. I know the urethane uses a different hardner (activator). I just shot one car with e AU and another with AE both Shoplibe PPG products. I liked the results of the AU much better. I must have been tongue tied when I stood there and ordered it or the kid mixing misunderstood. I sure thought I said AU.
