I have also found that if you run a 5.0 lever in a 727 with a stock type VB you can experience 2-3 shift overlap so for that reason I use a 3.8 or 4.2 lever,
From what I've been reading, this is exactly correct. The 5.0 lever can make the 2-3 overlap a pronounced issue. If you look at the big names well built and competition 727 builds, they are all 4.2 levers included, no 5.0's.
