68 Charger visited my home

My wife called me Friday, November 29 to tell me a black 68 Dodge Charger pulled into my driveway and one of the two occupants came to the door. But, my wife isn't going to the door for anyone she doesn't know. They left and drove around the neighborhood. I didn't trust that she knew exactly what she had seen. Saturday morning, I talked to my retired neighbor who seems to know cars and he confirmed the sighting but he thought it was green with black vinyl top.

I can't imagine who it would be. My first car, when I turned 16 in 1971, was a 68 Charger R/T so they really catch my eye. But, I don't know of any in the area of Hickory, NC.

Anyone know of a 68 (possibly 69 or 70) Charger in my area? Thanks

Wow...just a couple of clicks on the mouse. Is it really that hard?
 
Do you have Mopars visible from the road? If so, maybe it was someone wanting to meet a new Mopar friend.
 
Nothing visible. Raggedy Dart Sport in garage behind closed door. 2005 Ram inside behind other garage door.
 
Maybe it will show up again sometime.
 
I imagine if it was a clandestine visit, they would have tried the door knob. When we lived in the Macon city limits, when Kitty and I were away, I told my son if anybody ever came by the house and tried the door knob, they were up to no good. Call 911.

It's pretty obvious who they were.
Probably a good thing you were not home and she didn't answer.

First scene I thought of, actually! I was waiting on the op to tell us he gave chase in a green fastback mudstain!
 
I've seen a black 68 or 69 Charger down here in Lincolnton. I only spotted it twice since I've moved down here and I've never seen it back when I lived in the Hickory/Valdese area.

I always remember this. My daughter had this (Bambi) movie when she was young and we watched it so many times, she almost had it memorized.
