Hi guys ...need some direction on the correct rebuild kit for a bullet shaped manual steering box out of my 72 duster. Also where I can find instructions with an exploded view would be great....thanks

Firm Feel has rebuild kits. When I rebuilt mine I installed one of their 20:1 ratio worm gears.
The FSM has info on rebuilding. Also do a search here on FABO, there is a post with photos and good detail. There are also posts on what lube to put back in. I use the Mobil 1 red synthetic grease.

what's your opinion on the 20:1 ratio I know of a few and the owners like it better than the 24:1 and even the 16:1 .

I did the rebuild on the steering box a couple of months ago, but I also had the car down to a shell. Making good progress on getting it all back together, but it is still at least a month away from driving,, so no info on the 20:1 ratio.
Also on the rebuild, the two ball bearing assemblies at the ends of the worm shaft are not included in any of the rebuild kits. Mine had pitting on the bearings, if I was ordering for shipment to Australia, I would also order the ball bearings / races. The races will come out with an inside puller on a slide hammer.
