Electric P/S conversion users...

Subscribed. I plan on making this same swap in my Duster over the winter, so I can keep power steering when fitting my single turbo setup (flipped Magnum manifolds). I am undecided if I will use one with the integrated ECU, or one that is mounted separately w/harness.

I believe there was someone with this conversion on here earlier this year, hopefully they can chime in with a followup report.

There are a couple of HUGE threads on this subject on here, one of them quite old

Yes, there is info on it like the thread I referenced. However, none answer my question about longevity, with what donor unit, in an A body and whether they felt it was still worth the conversion in any posts in the last year.

There is no doubt the longevity of the unit will be fine. Especially, if gotten from the Toyota. However, I haven't heard of anyone actually running it down the road, yet. I am concerned if the assist will be too much at speed.

I have a 16:1 manual box with the Toyota Prius motor and remote ecu, however, my car isn't up and running yet.

I was considering an electric pump, but they are equipped with a 100 amp fuse so the stock alternator would not hold up. I'm still thinking about it, though.
