Hi did the barracuda base model with the 273 come with 14 by 4.5 rims ? Did the formula
S come with 14 by 5.5 ?

14 by 4.0 on both. No Barracuda (A or E) ever came with a 14 by 5.5

Base model barracuda's came with a 14"x 4.5" wheel.
340 Barracudas and all 340 A bodies got the 14"x 5.5" wheels.
There is no such thing as a 14"x 4" wheel.

Formula S from 65-69 came with 14 x 5.5 steel wheels. My brothers 67 273 2v auto came with 14 x 4.5 but a real stripper may have had 13" wheels. Are you talking about your 67?

NO 67-69 Barracudas came with 13" wheels.
Barracudas were considered by Chrysler to be a higher trim level than Darts. All Barracudas had 14"wheels. Interiors were also more "plush" than Darts.

14 X 4-1/2 standard.
14 X 5-1/2 standard on S cars and optional on others. Pretty sure disc brake cars were upgraded to 5-1/2. Been a long time but I think A/C cars got 70 series tires and would also have 5-1/2 wheels. D70 and E70 tires always were mounted on the wider wheels. HD suspension option (standard on S cars) were 5-1/2. Trailer towing package too. Basically, any car with factory front sway bar had the bigger wheels.

''S" cars and cuda package cars as well had 14x5.5

I believe they're talking about rim width, 14x5.5 4'' bolt circle
You may be right, but when a question is asked with incomplete information, it is rather difficult to give a proper answer.

Guys, I was trying to make a point about the way the question was worded. I would have asked about 14 by 4.5 wide or 14 by 5.5 wide. That way there would have been no question as to what the question actually was. Obviously I know that no classic Mopar ever came with a 5.5 bolt pattern. The way the question was worded, it led me to believe that he was talking about bolt patterns and mistyped the 5.5. The question was confusingly worded. Was he talking about rim width or bolt pattern. Since it was not mentioned, we were left to guess, and I guessed that he was talking about bolt pattern.

It was obvious to me. That he was talking about diameter and width.

I don’t know how many times I have tried to sell wheels that are 15”x4.5” SBP and I have been told that they are not A-Body wheels, “oh sorry I need a small bolt pattern” or something else dumb.

Bolt circles are expressed 5-4” and 5-4.5”

Number of lugs - measurement of widest distance between two studs directly across from each other.
