Anyone ever run Speedmaster Heads on their small blocks

It's YOU'RE not YOUR. I think you may be the bot.
I'm not going to get my fingers all cramped up! My voice command and be glad I correct some of the things that I do! Some stuff oh my goodness way to laughable the words that get changed....

Here is a few pics of the Sb heads. The guide clearance is just right also. Kim

That valve job went out in 1995. They may look nice and they may be round, but I haven't done a VJ like that in over 20 years.

That would be the first thing I'd fix.

Don't grind them with a rock?
Machine them instead?

Well, then YR. enlighten us what we need done so we don’t go down the wrong path. We want it done right. This way we will know if the machinest we talk to is the right guy for the job. Thanks. Kim

Received my SB CNCed heads yesterday, they look okay but the seats will have to get a more modern valve job.. Was a bit alarmed when the 1st thing I pull outta the box is talking about Bowtie heads.. Huh? Also not thrilled that the part # I ordered PCE281.1656 is nowhere to be found on the head. I don't have enough SB Mopar experience to know if these are even Mopar Heads and don't have my block yet to fit them to but I'll try and search for something that shows SB Mopar head/ bolt hole spacing dimensions...Probably in my old DC Performance book.

Will they flow? No clue but it is my 1st set of Aluminum Heads and hope it was a good purchase.

How about starting with whether the heads as delivered are for example: usable as is, acceptable, adequate, a good start, good bang for the buck out of the box, obviously show the faults that can't be overlooked, etc but then get into mods that can be done, should be done, what needs fixed etc for higher performance up to what some of you more experienced guys are going to do with them. Not everyone is going to go for the best of everything, a maximum build here. Some are gonna want to check em over, or perhaps have them checked over and hopefully just slap them on an engine. So maybe cover it all? For guys that want assurance that theyre good as is, or unusable ootb, and options beyond.

They will work fine but they could work better with a little finesse. Anything can be be improved on.

I agree, if we wanted gold we would of bought better heads, but silver will do for most or even bronze. I think most engines on here are mid to low buck builds. My race builds get gold parts. So to speak. Kim

Anyone else notice that the SB heads that @Hemioutlaw has, now include chamber work? All the other heads I've seen posted in the past have had as cast chambers.

When did you order them? How long did it take to get shipped?

Yes, I did notice. Kim

You have a set of bare CNC'd that don't have chamber work, would you be willing to post a straight on picture of a chamber, higher res the better?

Did notice that myself as what I had read about the heads in this forum prior to purchase eluded to no chamber work

Same. My heads are in the fedex lala land, they were supposed to arrive today, but they're apparently on the slow boat.
