Ok, I think I need someone's input here. My Dart has the regular transmission all of them had. And, when I have tried to drive and put it either in drive or reverse, sort of nothing can be felt. And then it needs quite a bit of engine speed to go, but then shift and works very fine. The day I was at the gas station filling up the fuel tank and came home I checked the transmission fluid level. In park it was like 1/8 of an inch below the lowest mark on the dipstick. It said add one pint, and I now realize that I am still not 100 percent with American measureme ts, so I ended up filling a whole liter, or a quart to be more precise.
Now when I shift I can feel it engage, more.like a Ford.
Have I done.something unforgivable, or how is it supposed to feel ?
