Mystery bulb socket behind dash

-
Craig; There is an oil pressure light located on the far left upper part of the instrument panel. It is separate from the circuit board area. Put a bulb in the socket itself. With the engine off, and the ign. key in the run position, the light should be on. If so, pull the wire off the oil sending unit. The light should go off. I found it difficult to install. Big old hands don't help.

All of the bulb holes in my cluster are circuited. I also have an oil pressure gauge line installed where the oil pressure sensor would normally be.

Sorry, but a 50+ year old car. A factory manual and schematics are a must. If they look like a Chinese scroll, trade the car for a rickshaw.

I’m not saying the ancient scrolls are bad, they’re just hard to read sometimes. I know they’re very useful and even have one in my glove box.

Craig, I was wrong about the oil light. It is built into the circuit board. A 1970 Dart is different than your panel. It has two 5 prong connectors going into the circuit board pins. The brake warning light is at the left end of the panel, left of the circuit board. The light should come on with the ign. key in run position and the E-brake pulled out. From what I read, there were many changes during these years.
