ALERT!! SOUND THE ALARM!!..

I have a set of PRW 1.6 at home and will check after work. I don't remember seeing that script but it's been a few months. I ran a tap through all of the threads and uses a pick to clear all the oil ports and then through them in the ultrasonic tank for a quick spin. Definitely check the oiling hole for debris.

I ordered a set of head studs and a harmonic balancer the first day of the sale and haven't heard/seen anything from them after the email reciept. Tried calling last week but couldn't get through. If they aren't on the porch when I get home I am going to have to start getting testy.

Doing all that, except cleaning them in the parts washer for new parts.

I also didn't get a tracking email, I made an account when I made my purchase, I was able get the tracking number in there.

I think mine will be here shortly, as soon as some of the Cali crackheads turn in 12,000 more Coke cans!
Not an update, tracking number, or any comms from SM.

So Speedmaster has a place in California, Australia, and China. I wonder where their products are produced.

I called last week, and the guy on the phone said that they had like 3,000 orders over the weekend, so they were going to be a week catching up. I still haven't gotten a tracking number either, but I didn't pull the trigger until the 2nd.

Pulled my PRW rockers out and they have the same script on the underside. We can probably safely assume that the alloy they cast with is the same. That means the difference is potentially in the bushings and machining tolerance, or not. I'm impressed with the PRW rockers. I got these for $150 on Amazon on closeout, usually $400+. I think the SM version is priced pretty aggressively against the PRW when they aren't on sale too.

Had a nice heavy box on the porch this evening too. Now I think about all I need are some gaskets and a new water pump.

I thought I read on their site that they started out in Australia with one CNC machine and grew to sixty. From the packaging and other stuff though, there is a strong indication that a lot of the finish work is being done in China, at least on the stuff I've seen. Maybe high dollar stuff like blocks are done in Aus? The castings almost certainly are all coming from China.

They are the EXACT same rocker. If there is 3 places in China making SBM rockers it would be stunning. I doubt there is two.

The come off the very same production line and go into different boxes.

Same same.

Hum, you mean I paid 250 bucks more, just to have PRW stamped on the arms. :wtf:

When I talked to him about rockers it kinda sounds like they were all set it for ball ball pushrods. I use ball cup pushrods so I would be out more money addressing that issue

Got mine today. I'll get them unpacked and take a look. It will be busy until after the holidays so I might not get them apart until then.
