I'm really thinking of going 408 or 426 on My 65 Dart, I don't wanna spend all My money and time on something I don't know if I will be satisfied with.
With that said, I really wan't to know if what I'm thinking investing in is going "trip My trigger". If someone has an early Dart with an automatic, I can't drive a stick shift yet, with a stroked 360 or 340, hell, maybe even a stroked 318, what's that, a 390?, any way I want to drive and see which one I would like the most.
In the spirit of Mopar Broherhood, I want to borrow or maybe rent, (at a reasonable rate of course) for a few weeks, a running driving car that I can drive and evaluate the performance of before spending My own time and money on.
I can provide references, and driving record as well as verified insurance, I only drive in the daytime because of my eyesight, I'm not blind, just old.
So if You would post Your cars and specs, I'll go through them and pick the one I'm most interested in, if Yours isn't chosen, please don't be insulted.
The closer the better on the choice, I'll have someone drive Me to Your location and I'll drive the car back to Ga., I'll will pay to have the car shipped back to You, depending on Your location.
I will even have My guy check out the car before shipping, as a demonstration of goodwill and faith, I will supply the title of My step son's itle to His 2005 Jeep Liberty, and yes it does run and drive.
So please post all Your cars up for consideration, and please be patient while I go over all the cars presented, and please don't be offended if Yours isn't chosen.
Thanks to all in advance.

Tell em he's dreamin.
Dear Sir, If you are serious about "renting" someones classic car I would advise you to come up with about 35K to "tie it up". After you "tie it up" you can drive the car for 10 days and then the owner of the car can decide weather he or she wishes to "untie it". The Hotrodders on this sight put a fair amount of thought, sweat, and tears into their rides and just short of sleeping with their girlfriends or wives you are asking something from them that is ........well.....absurd......unless........a dude has a sweet azz drive train in a rat rod of a car that doesnt give a hoot about it and is willing to yard out his ****....just because...no disrespect as you are probably older and wiser than me but renting someones hot rod is kinda like sleeping with his/her girl/man...zeemzay? (see what i am saying?)

Most here would lend you their wife before
they would lend you their classic mopar.

Dont be insulted if I dont choose to sleep with your wife....Sorry man, if you are serious, just read the forum and learn what the right setup is for you. If you are for real I applaud you putting it out there. In a perfect world I could "lend you a one off car" and sleep well at night thinking that its being taken care of. Unfortunately it is not a perfect world. There is a bunch of info on this board and if I were to shoot in the dark I would say to you go for a small block NA motor that can produce 400+ HP. BAM .....smiles all day long!

I can tell you by my own experience. I have a guy out the road from me that has a very big money 72 Dart with a 360 stroker. I don’t have to ride in it or drive it. To know what it runs like. His garage is under a modern brick home. He started it for me. Showing off each other’s cars. I wanted to tuck my tail between my legs and take my identical looking 360, home. When he turned the key. I thought his brick house was eventually going to be rumbled to the ground. He said, “ About 550 hp.” I didn’t doubt it one bit, lol ! I could feel the power standing next to it at idle.

If I was serious about wanting to see how a stroker drives, I think I would ask if someone would be willing to take me for a ride in their car. That would be worth the cost of the trip, if you were seriously thinking on spending that much money.

The money you would spend renting/shipping or whatever why not just build one and if you don’t like it. Tune it or sell it and get what you want.

"serious", uh no the dood isn't, thought people would recognize a little "stand up", i was wrong, I thought I might at least have one "sure, I'll deliver it myself with a full tank of gas, have fun", guess I'll leave the levity to Leadfoot over in the politics forum.

I hear Twilight Zone playing now in the background.

I especially like the part where you said you can't drive a stick yet.

Good one.
