I'm looking for a trailer hitch for my '65 wagon.
I don't think there is anything official online for our cars. Maybe someone else has a made one lying around?

The OEM ones show up but not rated very high, they have two bolts to the bumper then one through the spare tire well. I have one on my dart and will only tow say 500 lbs in a small light trailer, barley trust it to do that also.

Thank you. It doesn't have to have a big pulling weight, I would simply be happy if I got a link to a product. I can't find a name anywhere. It would only be about a small trailer anyway.

if you are still looking for a hitch, i have one o took off my 64 cuda. should be the same. let me know and ill take pics for you.

You see I ctt the frame right in the area where that frame bolt would end up.Here are some photos.I took all the rot out, spread the old frame a little ,slid the new trunk floor with good frame 6 inches into the old frame then welded it at the seam and then did a plug weld forward of that that can be seen in the photos. I'm thinking I want something like these adjustable units that expand to fit between the inside of the rails rather than on the bottom so I can weld it on to the old and the new frame.

The slotted holes you see between the 2 1" holes are where the front of the hitch mounts. Looks like the other four are not on your rails but would be the plate behind where the spring hangers mount. If your welds on the rails and pan are good, that would be plenty strong.

My welds have been there for 15 years now so I guess they are good but I'm wondering how they would hold up under the stress of pulling a bike trailer with 1000 lbs on it . I'm just looking at options at this point so if someone wants to buy this sell it .

There may be 1000 lbs on the trailer but rolling weight is different. There is probably less than 400 lbs rolling weight. That's why you can move it by hand if it balances or push your car if needed.
