Last chance to stop me from buying the hype...

Just once, pick a part and go with it.
If you want the Demon carbs, get them.
It shouldn't matter what others think or think they know. You are the one writing the check in the end.
I see j par disagreed with my above post. lol
I guess his old lady writes the checks. lol

I'm completely zeroed in on these Street Demon carburetors.. if the price drops any lower than 288.86.. the trigger will likely get pulled on two of them...
My brain is committed to two brand new carburetors...
I need some Devil's Advocate....
I like the looks of the non composite and don't see the necessity of it on a tunnel ram.. I actually want to get some 2in risers for them to make sure they stick out of the hood good and proud I need some advocate for that as well...
HELP I see the deep end and I'm about to go over.. lol...
I had two of them they were both junk, throttle struck on one them, I never could get the other to idle. I know from experience that Summit stopped selling them because of the massive amount of returns, they replaced my second Demon with a Holley and asked me not to reorder.

With all the people going to 3rd gen hemis, FI systems, some milleniums that can't even spell carb ( carburator???? spelling???)....good used Eddies should be dime a dozen, OK so maybe 2 for a dime!? That's all you need anyway right?
Buy quality even if used and abused!

Psst! Hey J Par, Jaaayyy Paarrr!?!?!? It's the devil on your left shoulder, whispering in your ear...

I’m guessing you’re referring to the Holley style carbs Demon was selling when they were part of BG.
The quality of the Demon stuff was very iffy back then.

Demon is now a part of Holley and the carbs jpar is eyeing are the quasi TQ style carbs they came out with a few years back.

I believe a pair of Zama carbs is what you're looking for, should work very well.
Although I think a pair Holleys would be a good choice.

I'll say it, there's nothing wrong with having big balls, I've always wanted to put a tunnel ram with TQs on one of my 440s and I might do it just to show the guys that it won't work that it will. Hotroding was built by men trying most anything to make there cars faster and a couple carburetors is no big deal.
Go for it!

Twice burned, three times shy!

Twice burned, three times shy!

I can’t blame you.

There’s plenty of other choices.

And for a TR application, those Street Demons wouldn’t at all be mine.

I have next to zero tuning parts for Carter type carbs anymore...... but plenty of Holley type stuff, so whatever I got would have to use Holley style tuning parts.

I'm kind of the opposite I have obviously already a Edelbrock and the Carter and all the metering rods and springs and what have you for them let alone the two carburetors for parts LOL...
I'M BACK FROM WORK!...

It doesn't matter what other people think and yes it's my money.. BUT, not taking into consideration what other people know? Or have experienced? Or know of a better product? Or know of a better price?.. I thought that was the good part about the Forum getting to ask questions... I remember I had to run out and snap up that 8-quart milodon oil pan that's been nothing but a pain in the butt notching my frame in the whole nine yards just to be told later that everybody knows about that... Damn it I didn't or I would have never bought the damned thing... What title says just want to make sure I'm not doing nothing terribly wrong here..

Don't fool yourself, he already knows what he is going to do.
Again the title says it I'm pretty set on them, but I haven't ordered anything and this is a forum where I could be suede a different direction if it's warranted...
Again one carb that came with the car and one carb that was given to me as scrap metal and then work just fine for the last 5 years or more. I'm wanting something new for my car- something that not only makes it run better but makes it look better as well. Well my bucket seats are desperate for upholstery I'm more into the way it runs and it's Mechanicals I would really like some brand new carburetors to start from scratch clean and tune them together...
You of all people! Promax to small block Speedmaster to Big Block Speedmaster...
Now who's starting this spacebook (that's what I call it) drama..

My dad has a 750 demon on his valiant that carb works great had it on for almost 2yrs now, my brother had it on his 408 for about 2yrs before that not one problem.

You miss-represented my quote. I was responding to fish67 that you ARE going to do what you want. Period. I think it's a accurate statement. Me buying any type of head is completely irrelevant to my quote.

I have no idea what they use, but I def wouldn’t count on the Street Demon carbs to utilize Carter tuning parts....... since it’s a Holley product....... not an Ede/Carter product.

I love the internet! Things get so mixed up and misunderstood... Sorry about that..

So they have Edelbrock accelerator pumps their own main Jets and metering rods and Holley secondaries Jets on a thermal quad spring loaded on a goggle style 3 barrel carburetor...

So my suggestion would be a set of QF. But it would be a little more and you'll not pay it, therefore I refrained............until now. LOL
