Just out of curiosity, I wondered if there were rare multi carb intakes for Chrysler engines, primarily small blocks. I have seen the 2 four barrels and 3 two barrels, but wondered bout the multiple (6-10) single barrel intakes or any other off or rare intakes.

I think most of the multi-2bbl such as man-a-free came out in the "older" days, and by the time the 273 got it's feet and specially the 340, there was better stuff in the pike. I have a fairly rare Hilborn mechanical FI intake that I hope to EFI someday

You guys ARE NOT GONNA GUESS what Del scored!!!

If anybody made anything other than 2x4 or 3x2 it was Offenhauser.

I haven't seen many of these.

It has some of the nicest Offy logos ever cast.

Billy made a deal with some guy on his Slant 6 Duster leftovers and offered to have me coat the intake; he only wanted silver so that's what I did. Then he backed out of his driveway and wrecked his car so all the parts are still here. I knew I should have 2-toned it. LOL

I saw the post by a member about the prototype 273 intake and it got me wondering about rare 273 intakes. Does anyone know anything about this intake? It was a Hot Rod magazine article on hopping up a 273. Claimed only Dave Koffel had one running at the time. I think they were wanting to do it, but the pictures are a mock up. On the cover shot the carbs are turned different in the center. Black and white pictures have them mounted different. For real?

I got another message from the Koffels this morning!
"Enclosed is a picture of the CFX...engine and Dick Maxwell helping Dave the first time out at Muncie Dragway when we set the first Nat. record."

If you look close at the engine picture you can see the intake base and the runners to each barrel.

Though not Mopar fodder, this has always been one of my favorite induction systems.

Mr. Koffel told me there were only 2 of those Weber manifolds. He had one and I think he said a racer in Florida had the other.
