WOW!!!! Is that irritating or what? Man...I have a pretty long fuse but that just eats up my patience.

Yeah, You go through the trouble to opt out, and a couple of days later, there they are again. I can't go there early morning anymore, My GROWL wakes up the wife!

I could be wrong but i thought the 340 and X blocks came Ruff cut to 3.91 bore

Rough bored is the key word here with this particular block, it means the maximum bore dimension will be 3.91 inches. Machined just enough to put the cylinders where they are supposed to be but .030 would be well within limits for something going out as a raw production piece.

They do nominally but every X block I've owned and worked on was 3.88ish so it can be finished at 3.91.

I will say I got a good look at the bores on this block on Friday and for a rough bore it's pretty nice. My X block looked like they bored it with a chain saw.

Yup. I'll see how my mom is. Brought her home Friday afternoon and she was trying to run me off yesterday. I'll be here until at least Wednesday if not longer and then we have to wait another 3-4 months to find out if what they did was enough if there is more to do.

My Monday customer backed out.. She can get rid of you for enough time to go get a cheeseburger tomorrow and I can prove to this forum that you're a real person and not somebody with a picture of a supposed R Block laying on the floor of a garage! And glad to hear Mom's doing good enough to kick your butt!!

I'd run your *** off too.

Her alligator mouth is overloading her canary *** just like my bother and I knew would happen.

Went to the pharmacy and to the grocery store and she came home and is still napping.

She's going to need help longer than she wants.
Why is it every time I set the time all I hear is birds chirping...
"mom I'm going to the store and the pharmacy and I'm going to grab a cheeseburger as well.." ??????

I think I have the same block you described. Mine also has just the R on the front, and an R, then space, then a 3 on the rear bell housing mounting area. Must be just a foundry number or something. Mine also has the Magnum engine mount bosses, and exact same casting number.

I'm going down to get some better pictures in the morning. I'll post them up when I get home.

If I keep the block I'm going to mill the magnum engine mounts off, and maybe the LA mounts and use an engine plate to mount it.

Maybe.
