Dumski buys more boat(s)
The little 12ft is "too little." What I wanted was about a 14, more freeboard, maybe a splash well in the stern. I looked at these junkers a couple of weeks ago. He is asking 200 for one, 250 for the other "offers." Went out today and looked again. Offered him 200 for the whole mess. Maybe throw away the windshield, pressure wash the entire thing, new dash, new stern wood, and maybe get some aluminum (later, much later) and fashion a stern well. Maybe have my neighbor bedline the bottom of the inside of the hull It's about 14 1/2 going on 15, but still a simple light boat. Needs the steering rebuild of course. The old Johnson 35 is parts, it's missing the recoil and flywheel. The other boat is gonna get sawed up and taken to the dump. That will make boat dump run no5. It has an Evinrude 35, turns over, has compression. "We'll see" I don't actually need either outboard. Came home and got the Cummins / car trailer mated up, will be two trips tomorrow, about a 20 mi round trip for each boat
