Hi guys,
Just got my usbody hood and working on getting it all aligned. It’s the heavyweight model but I don’t see a way to mount my cowl seal. The hood has no hollow in the back (don’t ask me how I know) so the clips in the cowl seal can’t clip in. I’m sure I’m not the first guy to have this issue. What have you guys done? Glue to the hood with weatherstripping adhesive? Screw to the body?

mine is a AAR/ Stinger drill a few extra holes. the base is used on dirt track cars

I'm pretty sure my aar cuda had the seal attached to the cowl and it sealed to rib on the underside of the rear of the hood. I've never removed the seal, but I always figured it had some sort of plastic "tree" that you push into holes in the top of the cowl. Now e-bodies have hidden windshield wipers, so they have a broad area to locate the seal. A-bodies have old style wipers, so they have a much shorter "step" on the cowl on which to locate the seal, and the question is if there is a hood rib to seal against if it is located there.

I f you hood is raising up at speed , u don't have enough hood pins , or they aren't in the right places . You don't see them raising up on pro stockers .
Why worry about the back (cowl) hood seal ? It`ll just leak out a little engine bay heat , The front one is more important to direct all the air into the radiator .--------jmo!

I run a fiberglass hood and have the same trouble w/ the front one , I "rigged" it to be better than nothing -------
