@Jadaharabi: funny, Hammelburg is 10 KM from me....so when you´re there again with your moped let me know ;-) When did you do Service in Schweinfurt?

How cool is that? Jan 72- Aug 74 US army.
I also had a RS 68 camaro that I drove to Paris a few times. Cruising speed on the Autobahn was 110 in it and I was passed by little green VWs. lol

In 73 I think it was, the AF held drag races at Giebelstadt on the runway.
I think that was the name of the place.
I had a lot of fun while I was stationed over there.

yes, this was Giebelstadt near Würzburg. I was Born in 1974, can remember my dad took me and my brother to the races there end of the seventies / early eighties. A guy i race with now has got a Camaro with original Stickers from Giebelstadt races around 1980, funny.....do you happen to have some pics from then?

Sven: sorry for derailing your thread….;-)

Michael

You have to mention that the number was km/h and not miles... otherwise those little green bugs wouldn't have made it. :)

110 was mile per hour on the Camaro speedometer it was English or American. It topped out at 125.

I used to have pictures but they're long gone now. Sorry

Been to Wurtzburg many times and Bad Kissingen.

Yeah. Gonna fix that tomorrow. It was late and I didn't understand it really. I hate reading instructions ... no, I had none of them.

See you tomorrow. Changing whatever...

Ahh. Now I understand. Yoke wants to go up and CalTracs fight this.

Under the car and in the late evening I am not that good of an engineer ..

Just found this thread, please, please, please, upload more pics!! this is the coolest build i've seen for a while.

4 years fast forward … sorry for that

One day later I installed the 833 for now and without a clutch. I had to stop working on the car for a while. But only 26 months later I pulled it out of storage

I shipped the car 600 miles south to my friend Schlücki. With lots and lots of help we deleted for sure 100 stupid mistakes done by me.

Where did you get the trans end flange for the driveshaft? I assume you are having a slip joint shaft made which i would like also but didn't know if that flange was available...
