New SS spring sagging ?

Super stock springs are made to work as a pair. Putting in two of the same really defeats the purpose. IMHO.

You are correct. And if this car was going to spend more than 3 days a year at the track I would use them as a set

I guess the point I’m making is that once you break up the pair there is no advantage over a stock or heavy duty spring just because they are called “super stock”. IMHO

I think your opinion is correct to a point.

But this combo has worked for others and may be advantageous when running drag radials. I will find out.

When using caltracs or slide a link bars, you do not want the 002 or the 864 on the passenger side because they will be working against the bar.

If it doesn't work I will still have the correct one on the shelf.
Again....if this was a dedicated drag car it would be different.

yeah but you’re not using cal tracs or bars, just spring sliders replacing the shackles right?

Actually... (are you sitting down?). I am using the old Lakewood Traction bars that were on the car when I dragged it out of a snowbank .

Waiting for the cries ...

Hey whatever works for you, I’m not a drag race guy!

The super stocks have a few different things going other than being different side to side, the front section is different and the spring rate is significantly higher. Yeah the side to side difference counters the spring wrap action some more, but even two of the same side would be better than stockers.

The bars really wont be doing much. I have my springs shimmed back 1” using a block of aluminum and the bar snubbers will hit there versus on the spring. If they hit at all.

And yes ...SS spring have differences beyond being arched more on Pass side

Yes .. they were yellow. But I had them powder coated flat black
They car was originally the same color as the one in your pick . But now its the same as your avatar .
