Poll - How far away from home do you drive your classic?

Drove my 1973 340 a833 four speed Road Runner from an hour north of I-10 on the east coast to San Antonio, Texas.

1180 miles with some back roads before settling onto I-10. Had to replace a spark plug, leaking gear oil out of my neutral safety switch (weird), bought new rear tires and I lost the running lights while halfway in Louisiana.

I drank so much coffee, when I couldn’t drive anymore, I couldn’t sleep either. Was paranoid about getting hijacked while trying to rest ( someone had tried to steal my project road runner off the trailer in Mississippi with me in the tow truck {I snore REAL LOUD})
When I came over a bridge in East Texas near Beaumont, I hit a pot hole and it damaged the steering-most of the remainder of just over 300 miles it was like driving a shark. It zigged and zagged left and right for every bump after-unpleasant!!
Nearly overheated in Houston where I-10 splits off to I-45 North to Dallas (FYI this where traffic gets clogged every tine in Houston on I-10).
Lots of thumbs up. Was to worried about the car.
AbodyJoe says GOD hates a coward but I couldn’t afford to replace the car.
Overall, good experience. I need more wrench time & skills to boost my confidence though.
Wow...thats brutal! lol. Thats a long way as well.
I'd take good old abodyjoe with a gain of salt...lol. Nj guys..
