When it comes to housework, I play upbeat/rock music or music videos. Outside stuff I don't care much to do (weed-pulling, fence painting) are more "fun" when I have either a volunteer or paid "helper" that I can employ to do half the work for me.

For vehicle restoration, I just need parts/materials and some pleasant weather.

Keeping my wife happy? Seriously dislike housework, hate yardwork, when it comes to cars, well, that's something I need little motivation, put on some tunes and find a starting point, get done as much as I can that day.

I would much rather work alone doing just about everything.:D

Here's an example for you.
Yesterday the Wife wanted me to help her run a small extension cord behind a small table for a lamp on the table.
It was blocked in on both sides by other furniture so she gets down under the table and tells me to try and grab the end when she sticks it up between the table and the wall.
Of course she was having a problem getting under back in the tiny area to reach very well and I asked her to give me the male end so I could just drop it down from the top.
We she gets all pissed and starts asking how dumb I can be because she needs the male end down at the socket.:realcrazy::D

I stopped just short of telling her I don't mind helping with things but if she wants to do things the hard way all the time and not listen I'm out.:D
You would think a computer tech would know a little about running cords and cables, right?
ESPECIALLY something as flat simple as running a cord behind a table.

Nope, I'm stupid.:D
Sometimes ya just gotta let it go.

Damn, I could have written that a hundred times,a different subject each time. LOL
Love my wife, wouldn't trade her for anything, but sometimes......... I just gotta shake my head and walk away.

:mad::wtf:

Lack of time and bad weather, that's when I seem that get motivated. Of course, that doesn't work very well. I think about what I could do, but can't do it because it's -20 outside, or whatever reason. Thanks to an awesome experience at work, I am now motivated to get the hell outta there and be my own boss. So I'm going to have to get motivated and stay motivated. But talking over on FCBO about making the trek out to Carlisle has put me in a spot, where I need to back up my words with action. Car I'll be taking needs some work, but nothing major, plenty of money (damn are seats expensive to recover) and I should have all the bugs sorted out well before then.
And that's motivated me to work on the Dart during better winter weather. If I can do that, I'll roll into spring already ahead and eager for more. This year is almost over, and I have never waited for a New Year more than this one. Turn over a new leaf and get my *** in gear. I need a snowball effect to occur, and I can do it, I know I can.

Oh yeah, good tunes never hurt!

I like listening to music and some podcasts to do the dishes and the housework. For my vehicles good weather always helps.

I don't do household cleaning or laundry so I can't help you out there. However, when I commit to a goal on a set date or deadline, I stick to it(or at least give it all I got). So I guess you could say pressure to meet a deadline.

My motivation for doing housework? Getting the wife to shut up about it. ha ha

Last time she nagged me about housework, I said "I'll get to it, you don't have to remind me every 6 months"

I cut the grass with headphones on and some 60/70's music. I sing along and my wife tells me she can hear me and to stop so the neighbors won't think I'm crazy. How she can hear me over the lawn tractor is amazing, as she can't hear a damn thing when I want her to. Takes about an hour to cut it and by then my throat hurts. Hell my neighbors already think I'm crazy because of the cars I drive, so a little mindless singing is not going to change anything. :)
