I also got this little contraption. It made getting the bushing out a breeze. Honestly though you'd still be better off with buying little metal pieces that were correctly sized to go inside of the parts your trying to take apart.

Here's also a picture of the old vs new polyurethane bushing, honestly the previous owner may have been correct when he said the front suspension was rebuilt at some point. This old polyurethane bushing is practically new. These control arms need to be cut and rewelded to tighten them back up.
