Which fasteners holding the exhaust manifolds to a 67 273 head go into the water jacket? I'm removing my manifolds for beautification and don't need a floor covered in antifreeze.

Thanks I thought that was the case and my studs are in and sealed like frannies panties. Manifolds will be removed for significant improvement.

Use 2 locked nuts to unscrew them but they will still probably break on you. Keep 'em in if you can. Serve as good header hangers.

In only three years so I'm not expecting any issues.part of my winter upgrade plans are to get the stock manifolds detailed and bead blasted. Then some high heat color TBD.
Make sure to rtv/seal them(you already know that tho)

Leave the end studs in the heads, and don't lose the cupped washers when you remove them. You will want to use them back, no matter if you spruce up the manifolds and put them back, or install headers. Soak the exposed threads on the studs with PB Blaster for a few days before removing the nuts off the studs. It will make less likely to break a stud. Just don't get the PB Blaster on your floor.....it makes as big of a mess as antifreeze!
