Well everybody, it's time I got serious on my 67 Barracuda.
It needs a new radiator.

I would like to hear pro's and con's of both of them.
Griffen vs Northern.
Thanks in advance, cudamike13

I have a 22" Big Block Northern radiator in my 71' Dart and love it never had any overheating issues. The only knock on it that I hate is that it's spaced back a 1/2" from the core support which means you can't run a clutch fan, even with the shortest clutch fan it was 1/8" from the radiator was too close for me to even chance it.

Interesting comment on the clutch fan clearance. Needing a New Rad myself and have literally spent two weeks now talking to everybody and their brother that makes radiators trying find one that will clear my clutch fan and allow me to run my OEM Shroud. No dice so far. Hoping to do this without taking out a second mortgage and adding aftermarket electric fans and shroud.

I'm not a believer in electric fans they do not pull enough air flow IMO so I'm running a flex flan with a shroud on my Dart and later added a pusher electric fan on the front side for additional air flow on hot stop and go traffic days.

We run a lot of Northern radiators.in our dirt cars...cheap and they work.

If you have the budget the best copper brass is a Glen-Ray.

I have overheating issues with Northern at the 600hp Mark. Will be Ordering a Griffin this winter. The 1.25 tubes of the Griffin is a major selling point. Ccas uses those too, if you want something that bolts in as oem. I do think that your HP and usage will dictate what direction you need to go.

Why not cut it off and heli arc four brackets on it that are flush / I did .

My griffen runs hot but my engine is far from stock.

My 505 is far from stock. I had the car slip off a floor jack and bend the front valance and radiator, I straightened the valance , and pressure tested the rad. , its still in the car today with no leaks------it is a griffin 28x19 crossflow , with 1 1/4" tubes ------------

The circles are drawn locations for elec fan layout , that didn't work , meh.clutch fan does . I experimented with fans for two yrs.

The shroud has been re worked 5 times , and is now shorter than this/ getting kind of ugly too .

There is no comparison Griffin should be your first choice.
Their two row 1.25 inch core design works very well.
I have used several, they perform well with the right mechanical fan.

Thanks to all who responded ! I think I will go with my first choice, Griffin.

Thanks again !
