very nice truck. Looks solid and straight. Mechanics are about as simple as it gets... I'm sure you'll never regret hitting the "buy it now"

obviously we would be interested in what ballpark price you paid for yours as well. ...
you are doing a wonderful job with the truck. Actually, it's risky to put so much work into a truck you are going to flip, it makes the margin of profit slimmer and harder to get. But keep up the good workView attachment 1715439880
Do you mean this last truck that I got? With the little hole in the floorboard? LOL the cracked steering wheel, the rearview mirror that you can't see out of, the driver's door that wouldn't open from the outside with the window that wouldn't go up and down? With the U joints that are 100% shot along with the carrier bearing? the motor that had a quart and a half of oil in it because all of the rest of it was on the outside from all the leaks? The carburetor that was completely toast and would barely run?... no not as much as he paid for his and I'm thankful I didn't have to bring it home on a trailer.. and quite honestly shocked it made it home with the U-joints that it had and the way it was running... I bought mine at a total Fixer Upper price... You can take your guess..
I can tell you once it's been through it total mechanical restoration it's going to be north of 4K or I'll drive it till it is worth 4K.. or more.. the last thing I'm going to do is sink hundreds and hundreds, over thousands of dollars in it and put that much of hard work into it to give it away to somebody who's going to drive it for 5 years and double their money...
I totally bought it as a project truck at a project price. I didn't even go into the busted power steering box that I had to replace and many other things.. that's why I'm saying I'll be happy to drive it for some time because it will be good and dependable for the years to come after I'm done with it.. I'll get my price or enjoy it. And then get my price LOL.. I'm not going to ask anything outrageous but very comfortable to its condition or it's new conditio...you are doing a wonderful job with the truck. I wouldn't be calling it rust free until he pulls up that rubber mat off the floor board...How the hell did you find a basically rust free one in PA?
but if the rest is clean and solid, the floor boards are a minor thing if you like the truck.I wouldn't be calling it rust free until he pulls up that rubber mat off the floor board...
Get the $24 ones from current to Classic..View attachment 1715442752 View attachment 1715442753 View attachment 1715442754 View attachment 1715442755 I picked the truck up in Suffolk, VA on Monday. I'm very happy with it. It has a 12/20 VA inspection sticker on it. It fires right up and sounds good. Body and frame are very solid. I was very lucky to find a one owner truck with 48,000 on it. It has a leaky power steering box, an oily pan and transmission, and a rusty floor. j par was right.
I know somebody who likely has that piece of chrome as well...
I need the same piece but not that trim the smaller narrow trim. The last one I had like that had a simulated wood grain finish decal down the center of it...Here is a picture showing the missing trim.View attachment 1715442756
I also prefer the power wagons myself. Most trucks of any brand didn't have any smog control till after 79. That's why Dodge came out with the image trucks the Macho the little red express trying to duck around that.. personally I prefer a 72 to 76 or even a 76 with a 72 73 Grill... Not a big fan of the 77 and up grills... I don't know what your local and state laws are but here in Oregon and I'm sure where my son is at in Colorado anyting 74 and older does not have to get a smog test..Nice truck. 2 wheel drive unfortunately, but pretty clean no less. I’m in the market for a w200 pre smog. Would like to make a pull truck.
again while I talk about the door seals and carpet you'll notice that the undercoating is probably still good and those are rusted from the inside.. all of the bracing and so forth is all galvanized just like the inner Fender wells don't get rusty either...View attachment 1715442752 View attachment 1715442753 View attachment 1715442754 View attachment 1715442755 I picked the truck up in Suffolk, VA on Monday. Oh boy I just looked California you're screwed! LOL..
Yea ‘75 is the last year for no smog. I have a line on a 74 w200 with a 360 and 4 speed granny low. What is that, the sm465? Hoping to pick it up next month when I have the cash, if it’s still available. It’s rough, but would make a nice mud truck. I’d probably throw my stroker smallblock in there if that transmission can take the power of it. I don’t know how strong they are, or what they are.I also prefer the power wagons myself. Something to keep in mind on anything you want to hop up here or there...
I don't think any truck transmission is going to suffer from your Stroker...Yea ‘75 is the last year for no smog. I have a line on a 74 w200 with a 360 and 4 speed granny low. I am looking at door seal kits from several manufacturers. Do you have a preference? Thanks. This is my fourth truck that I've almost completely disassembled in the last 2 years so there isn't much I haven't seen..
I can't remember which one's I used on my son's truck but I remember they were about fifty bucks for the pair. Ironically I'm looking for them as well and should be purchasing door seals and a carpet kit next weekend which will be my final order.. I remember using contact cement and then noticing that the kind of got already had a glue in the seem that Clips onto the pinch.. if you find something good let me know and I will do the same..I am looking at door seal kits from several manufacturers. Do you have a preference? Thanks.
So I'm going to go up and order the set from AutoZone.. I asked specifically if there is a pair and not just one and they couldn't answer but as you can see under specifications they're claiming this is a pair. I also asked if I pay for them and they get there and they're not a pair will they refund my money and they said yes.I am looking at door seal kits from several manufacturers.
