Public apology

-
Then you know what I’m talking about. Lol. We had a guy acting up causing some issues so right after he stripped down for his shower we gave him a blanket party and took a rag full of “cactus greese” to his balls. He straightened out after that.
/////////////////////////////////
Working underground you always heard about it but I never had to see it, thank god. Greasing was supposed to be a rite of passage for new guys.

You don’t need to apologize.
What you started wasn’t meant to hurt anyone.
The one who made the whole thing go side ways should be the one to apologize.
There are some people out there that let their mouth engage before their brain does.

There’s a saying I was told a long time ago.
Opinions are like *** holes everyone has one!
And sometimes they can make you look like one!

I think the other person should apologize for being a offended pussy! You can't even say "BOO" on the net without some pansy *** pussy getting offended.

While we're on the topic of people being too sensitive these days(which is completely true), with the advent of the internet we also now have the "keyboard commando". I am in no way implying that this is what Rani did, but it is true that people act like assholes on the internet. We all know this.
Ive never met Rani and I didn't watch the video. I did buy a part from her on fabo several years ago and the deal went off without a hitch so I have nothing negative to say about her.
I am just making the observation that people on the internet say things that they don't have the balls to say in person and its a shame.
As a kid, I played outside and had rock fights and BB gun wars and told dirty jokes like the rest of us. And, I am also very disappointed with the sheltered, overly sensitive types we have today but the internet asshole is to blame as well, in my humble opinion.
There are a couple of dudes on one of the Mopar sites that seem to want to use the word "nigger" in all their posts. I don't think Im being overly sensitive or snowflaky when I say I don't need to hear that when I come on a car site.
I guess my point is that there is a difference between having a thick skin and just being nasty when you know you wont have to deal with any repercussions. A chicken **** move in my book.
Also, I always respect anyone who will stand up for their beliefs when they know their ideas may be unpopular or they will catch **** for it.
Just my two cents, rant off.......

Same here, zigs! Except in our case, Mom and Sis and I were the only Jews in a small Texas town and we lived only a short distance from the regional Ku Klux Klan headquarters. Sis and I maintained a low profile as we were told to do. I had my Dad's Irish surname and Sis had Step-dad's French surname, but after a while, they figured it out anyway. If I had a nickle for every time 3 or 4 older, larger kids jumped me on the way to or from school, I'd have my car finished already.

My Step-dad was from an old Creole French family in Louisiana and had a lot of Caddo Indian in him. Olive complexion. The Ku Kluxers weren't very happy about him, either.

One day when I was 11 or 12, the Ku Kluxers brought a wooden cross and a can of gas onto our front lawn. I was standing in our driveway at the corner of our house and could see that there were 3 or 4 truckloads of them standing out in the road. Maybe 15 in all. Their leader was a large man with a pistol in his hand and he was standing in our yard. Fired a shot into the air and yelled that we should get out of town.

My Step-dad worked construction and had just got home from work. He was the spitting image of Bogart and had the physique of Charles Bronson. He was 5'6" and wiry. Nothing but muscle and bone. I should also add that after he served in the Navy in the late 1920s, he had made his living as a longshoreman on the docks in New Orleans and at times, made some money as a bare knucks prize fighter during the depression years. Following that, he was hired as one of Huey Long's bodyguards and did that until Huey was shot in '35.

From then until the end of WWII, he went to sea with the Merchant Marine on the Atlantic run supplying England. Had one ship torpedoed by a U-boat off the coast of Ireland and made it ashore hanging onto a makeshift wooden raft. Not long after, the Luftwaffe bombed them and sank their ship in the channel as they were leaving Portsmouth, England to return to the States. Following the war, he worked construction as a carpenter. In short, he was a quiet man of few words and never started trouble but he was also a tough old bird and didn't take any crap off anyone, either.

With that in mind...... From my vantage point at the side of our house, I saw my Step-dad walk out the front door and down the walk. He didn't say a word to the man with the gun in his hand who stood a head taller than he. Just walked right up to him and quick as lightning popped him once in the jaw with a right uppercut. The big man went down like a sack of rocks. Pretty sure he broke his jaw. My Step-dad picked up the man's pistol off the ground and fired once into the air. Then he told those men to come get their boss man and their cross and get the hell off our property. With that, he emptied the shells out of the revolver. Put them in his pocket and dropped the gun beside the man he had knocked out. After he walked a safe distance away, 4 or 5 of the Ku Kluxers hurredly came and carried their leader and the cross and the gas can over to one of the trucks and they left. Never bothered us again.

Thanks for the memories,

Harry
I've always been out spoken . I say what's on my mind . I try and look at all sides before commenting I'm not always right but if you come at me your going to get both barrels. That being said , I'm a Christian can't say I always act that way but I try. I'm not going to get into a religious rant. The definition of Christian is to be Christ like. We all fall short this is not an excuse its a fact , you don't get a halo just because you become a Christian.
Its a life long battle. As far as Jews go
I am a partner with the Jewish community through a group called for Christians and Jews. I have been supporting the Jewish community for over 30 yes. Rani did the right thing she need not apologize . She's a better person then most on here.

Thanks for "thinking" Im a decent person Bob, Ill let your spelling and age/IQ comment slide.
I will use your other portion(my avatar) of your comment as an example. This is for explanatory reasons so dont get offended(again lol):poke:
Here goes, might be longwinded, boring, rambling.
My avatar? Why change it? Does it offend you? If so, did your Dad raise a pussy? Are you a snowflake? I am not showing prejudice towards any race, or any gender or on anyone based on their sexual preferences. Im not supporting or showing support for ISIS or any terrorist group, any specific religion or political party?

What I had issue with in the deleted thread was the bashing of LGBQT. Some of the comments were funny, some were mean and for the most part the mean ones(the ones I thought anyway) were posted with religious tones.
Some of the worst atrocities have been committed by Religous sects....Canadian Indian residential schools, Catholic Priests raping children and the coverup, Vatican and Nazis($$). Not all obviously but A LOT. So I dont need a "book" telling me who is "good" or who is "bad". My parents and grandparents and family taught me right from wrong and how to treat people.
I see scripture on here and wonder why? You need to reiterate what YOU read and what YOU believe?
If I find myself "straying" I will always default to my parents, how I was raised and what THEY taught me. NOT what is simply written in a book. And I went to Sunday school as a kid.
I also built forts, rock fights, took swimming lessons, played hockey, football, used the "n" word and was down right mean to people at times. A group of us lit our dump on fire(not on purpose lol) Spent more than 1 night in the drunk tank. I was a "normal" kid lol. But I also know that I shouldnt have done some of what I did. I learned how to treat people.
Why the term "God fearing Christian"? Where did that originate? Why do you have to fear her/him/it?
My Uncle who I love dearly is a very devout religious person. We share laughs and coffee, both love sports and cars. I understand that religion "works" for him and thats fine with me.

When you base YOUR hatred for someone/group on a religion or a book, maybe that hatred should be kept bottled up, OR question the source?
As someone posted here, the biggest haters APPEAR to be religious and the ones doing all the condemning.
As I said with regards to the deleted thread, the religious/condemning comments is why I chose to voice my opinion.
We have members that are LGBQT, OR their children are LGBQT. From what I have seen of their posts/threads there is NO hatred/condemning.

This is my explanation, hope it didnt offend too many of you lol.
Bob, out of respect for my Dad(RIP) I will change my avatar, not because it offended you, but Ill change it.......soon.
You need to change ur avatar ----------we cant figure out iif tis ur age or I.Q. ?

Always thot u were a decent person before --------------

If people didn't do and say stupid and classless stuff, we would exist similar to the Eloi in the Time Machine.

90% or more here on the forum do not know what everybody else’s race, creed or religion is. Dont take it wrong but i dont care. Not that i dont care,it just makes no difference to me.

my drinking buddies dont force me to drink, same with the pot smokers..i ask the same for the religious friends.

Nobody ever forced me to drink...
They didn't have to.

Hey I am a redhead every one else can go F themselves. Guess I am a lonely racist.

4 pages and counting of people complaining and upset because of snowflakes complaining and being upset.... WAIT !! What's the difference??? They are both complaining and upset because of what somebody else thought or said!!
:lol::lol::lol:
P.S. - let me tell ya about my upbring'n… we used to jump through helicopter blades while it was runn'n, have shoot outs with our Dad's 44 magnums, we fought the police and won.… (did I earn my credentials yet?? LOL)

Sorry, I was briefly entertained! Carry on.... :)

I agree with almost everything here.

I don't get offended very easy, It's not easy being in a hobby dominated by the opposite sex and getting through auto school with a bunch of jerks, builds thick skin.

I do feel bad if I think I hurt someone else. The times I have been mean to others (it's happened) I felt bad later and felt like an ***. I don't see that as being a snowflake to feel bad for others but it just happens.

I also think 4spdragtop is a decent person, I have bought parts from him before and he was a lot of fun on the site over the years.

My funny religion story. OK so it is not that funny.
About 10 years ago I sold a place and moved a couple counties over After a few months, maybe a few years, a Baptist minister from the small town up the road dropped in to invite us to his church. We visited for a while, then my basic personality appeared an I had to ask this question: " Why and how is it, that lets say, the Baptists are right and the Methodists are wrong. Or you could ask, why are the Christian are right, and the Budists wrong?" Whatever.
He just looks me in the eye and states " He has some very good friends that are Methodists but, THEY ARE WRONG!"
Far as I know and really not concerned, but the only difference between the Baptist and Methodist is that one group baptizes and the other sprinkles!
I just found it all pretty musing!

I ain't readin' four pages of this.

But I did wonder the other day how many people that posted in the original would've changed their tunes when a certain Slant6 fella came 'round.

And, that said,
I saw a shirt the other day.
"That which offends you, I find funny. That's why I'm happier than you."

Have a good day. Imma go outside.
