Route 66

Have driven 66 between Moriarity and Gallup NM. The Rolling Stones mention Gallup in the song Rt. 66 and there is lore they have stopped in dives west of Albuquerque unannounced. The Grants area is the highlight with a great view of Mt. Taylor, one of the four Navajo sacred peaks. I'll have to start snapping pics, I drive 66 frequently.

Did the 66 in 64 when my dad brought the family out from VA. Dad decided to get us close to my moms family before deploying to Vietnam Nam. I was nine years old so I don’t exactly know where we connected with the 66 but I’m sure it was in Oklahoma. It was a long drive in the back of a 55 Chevy wagon peeing in a coke bottle and eating a lot of burgers.
