am looking at Wagner pads. The net recommends Bosch & Akebono (the latter I never heard of)
We drive at least one vehicle almost 140 miles daily.
Am in the big city now, Shell gas is good right?
They have tons of Valero’s.
Just like Rusty, I had tires on the civic that would blow out before they wore out. Plenty of tread left, never bald.
My friends recommend Michelin (sp?)

For what vehicle? If an everyday vehicle , Michelins are awesome tires (if you can afford them) and Shell gas is consistent. I personally don't like Wagner pads(working at a brake shop a long time!)but I'd use them on a domestic car before Akebono. It all depends on application here.

Wife drives a 2014 Passat, I have her old 2002 Jetta, & a pair of 1991 civics I drive as well, but I have a 1974 road Runner as well and the people in San Antonio stomp on the brakes and the gasoline. They don’t slow down, coast, follow behind safely, you name it, pretty aggressive, dangerous.

Then you should fit right in.

Michelins are good, can be a bit pricey, but are fairly long wearing, I like Coopers too, a little more economical, Pirelli's are good but also spendy.
Brake pads, well, I use Wagner and Raybestos, and Power Stop.
I'll abstain on the gasoline choice seeing as we're on opposite sides of the border

Put a set of BFG Touring T/A's on wife's car last spring, so far I have to say they have been good, but only have about 6000 miles on them.

I always buy a new set of Michelin tires when I buy a used car. In fact the last car had a new set of ChinaKrap & luckily the tire store gave me a bit of cash for them when they installed new Michelin tires.
Michelin is the only brand that says their tires can be used for ten years (all others say replace after five years even if they look good), on a car that sees low usage It’s a good idea.

I put toyos on my daily driver's
I like the price/winter performance ratio

I

don’t drive like that anymore, 2 years later I had a kid, why it took that to slow me down, dunno.
You don’t cut much slack my friend.

I rode with you to Ohio, remember? lol You're a maniac.

Bendix since that’s who makes the brake system on the car and there pads, no matter what grade level, fit perfectly every time. Semi metallic for my rides that see a mix of Hwy., side street, local and NYC city driving.

Fuel? Who ever is cheapest- 87 - 93
I try and stay away from Valero & that other Venezuelan company. The name escapes me at the moment. I find myself usually at BP or Mobil. Sometimes I’m at Quick Check but I don’t know who makes there gasoline. I try and stick with an actual maker of fuel. Not a place that has another place make there fuel for them.

Tires, depends on what vehicle is in need. And what there for. Daily driver/Magnum, Cooper Cobra’s.

The Hot Rod for the street - Mickey Thompson Sportsman S/R or ET Street S/S.

I don’t like Michelin tires.

EBC brake pads, they last without wearing the rotor too bad.
Hankook tires, got close to 65,000 miles out of my last ones.
Local gas companies here, I support my locals.

You need to come visit mother trucker!

I will Mrs. Daisy your assets 180 degrees until you feel unsafe in my safe driving!
(Driving the speed limit where others go 30mph over!) You haven’t raced until you have driven through Houston or Chicago with people trying to beat the rush hour traffic. Mario Andretti, Michael Schumacher, Dale Earnhardt, and Richard Petty have to buckle down for the kamikaze drivers in the big city. No fear except for being late.

Well that makes two out of three monkeys that don’t _____evil. Or two of three stooges.
I swear on the title of my RR that I drive the speed limit with my kid, & 99% of the time with my wife. We drive 5 times as much here and although gas is cheaper ($2.09 a gallon, $2.53 premium, $2.6 diesel) I am feathering that gas pedal until my pay comes in.

If we can find somebody to faithfully come feed the babies, we'd love to come see yall. As of now, I don't have anybody and boarding them would be too traumatic.

Akebono brakes have a factory in Glasgow Ky. My son in law is a supervisor there, they make pads for different makes, they supply Toyota and Chrysler I think alot of their pads are rebrands for other companies. My favorite tires are BFG radial T/A's. I've always liked Wagner brake parts, but nowadays I just take what I can get.
