Carburetor Question - Is this a good call?

Carter, set and forget! if you want to eek out the max performance, go with a Holley with its 32 different adjustments/tweaks...but for the rock solid carb...Carter/Edelbrock in that order. Look as the Carter tune up specs for the 273 to get your rod and jet. I have a couple of parts from a strip kit if you find a rod or jet is grossly out of spec.

Nicceee thank you!

Yes for the Holley you have.
pull the metering block and check the primary jets and power valve. #'s should be stamped on both.
The 66 jet and 6.5 power valve is a good baseline and should work well with your 273.

10-4. i'll probably be picking up the pictured carb in the first post just because of the price no matter what and then i'll get those jets and power valve and see how it all works. Thank you!
