Got home tonight and Friendly was on the back porch just lookin like he was asleep. He was. Forever. The Grey Friend was a friend to the end. You were a good old cat, Friendly. We loved you a lot.

He really knew how to relax.

Sorry to hear that Rob. He is another of your cats that I somehow felt I knew from doing the images for you.

RIP Friendly.

He was just layin on the back porch. No signs of anything unusual. Like he just ran out of life and laid down. He was even still warm.

Sorry for your loss Rob. Sounds like Friendly had a great life and left peacefully on his own terms. We should all be so lucky. And good on you for taking care of him, he looks like he was quite content. Rest in peace Friendly

Lost one this past July.
Didn't realize how bad I missed him until it dawned on me that he always sat on the arm of my chair when I tinkered on the lap top.
I'd gotten so used to him laying against my elbow and I learned to type with him there. I'm still doing it.

I feel for ya!

Yep, they become an integral part of our lives. Our Casi went over the rainbow bridge a few months ago & I still find myself looking for her to wander into my office to give me a rough time.

Sorry to here, buddy. Do you know how old he was? I miss mine, am thinking of getting a couple more. One reason I don't is because after the other two had passed on, there was some time there, I used poison for mice. I'm not TERRIBLY sure where all it might be. I realize now I'd made a mistake. Some of it was "loose" instead of in a 'dining out' container

He was about 15. He just showed up as a tiny kitten. Fastest cat I have ever seen. He couldn't have been more than 6 weeks old. You could be looking right at him and then literally he would run so fast that you couldn't see him. POOF! GONE! So, I devised a way to trap his little ***. I took a flat rate box and made a box trap with some tuna in it and put it on the back porch with a stick holding the box up with string on the stick going under the back door. I got his little ***. AS SOON AS I reached in the box to get him, the little BUTTHOLE clamped onto my thumb with ALL HE HAD with his teeth. I knew I couldn't let go so I ran him to the spare bathroom and threw him in and shut the door. We took a bowl of food and milk in and I had him purring in less than a minute.

What's really odd is, about six or seven years ago, he just disappeared. GONE, without a trace. Then about three and a half years later, I opened the door, and THERE HE WAS on the front porch. He's been with us ever since. We joked he got on the UPS truck and toured the country. We just don't know WHERE he went. But, he died on our back porch, at HIS home and he knew damn well he was loved. So, Kitty wrapped him up in a small blanket she crocheted, and.......put him in a flat rate box. That's what I'm going to bury him in tomorrow.

Sorry for your loss. Reading this reminded me of a cat I had years ago, he was a big yellow tom cat, I named him Tom. He would disappear for several months and then suddenly be back home, he did this for several years and the last time he never came back, I moved away and always wondered if he may have come back to find me gone.

Sorry to hear about the passing of Friendly.

We come home every day expecting to find our old kitty Jeffrey the same way. He's got stage 4 kidney disease. Lost so much weight he looks like skin and bones.

I am so sorry. It hurts most I think when it;s something we caint help them with. Give Jeffrey an extra scratch behind the ears for me.

Rest In Peace Friendly! It’s tough losing pets.

I love animals more than I like most people!
