Lost A Good Cat Today
By last count, we've had 29 cats and 1 dog in our family in my 52 years. Some of them lasted nearly two decades and some less than six months. Each one wrote its story in my memory. Some are recalled more often than the others. The stupid ones that played in traffic less so.... But they all brought joy. I look at how my kids and wife love our current cat Batman and it wrenches my soul to think of the day he is gone. I take solace in their innocence and dedication. Enjoy them all.
