The upcoming Indy Cylinder Head Show is only two months away and features many of the larger restoration and performance vendors in the industry along with a good mix of used and NOS parts. The show has for the past several years, been a sell out with all available spaces being used and it should be no different this year.

The FBBO guys last year scheduled a meet and greet at our location and I imagine that we will try to do something similar again this year. I will post updates as we get closer to the weekend of the event. None the less, stop by and introduce yourself.

I will also be posting under our Vendor Promotions some special pricing for the event and am open to your suggestions. The event will be here soon, so let me know of any ideals or plans to make the event more enjoyable.

Thanks,
Richard

Wife and I will be there always a great time. Have never missed one since they started. Looking forward to talking with Chris and Charley new owners of Indy Cylinder Heads and the rest of you. Tom

Does anyone have an idea of what vendors usually show up? Would be nice to know if some of the heavy hitters, Legendary, Mancini, or just the usually swap meet with used and needed parts.

Mancini just comes and takes orders for part anymore. Vans Auto, A&A Transmission, Laysons, Stephens AMD sheet metal, The Wheel Guy, and several others.

The swap meet is good, but I do not know if it would be good enough to drive 700 plus miles one way for the event. For us, it is 508 miles one way, but as being a vendor, it is a very good show for us.

Unless you purchase a Friday pass, the swap meet is basically a one day event. Friday is set up day for everyone and there is a fair bit of activities going on for those searching out the deals. Saturday from the opening of the doors to approximately 1:30 PM is booming. By 3:00 PM, some of the smaller vendors will be already packing up their items and starting to carry their product to the side doors to load up and head home. Sunday is very slow as it is mostly the larger vendors and swappers who have to wait to get inside to load up.

You will see a couple of swappers who attend this event and that does not hit Carlisle or The Nats. Like any event, you never know what and who may show up.

Hope that this might give you some more insight.

I guess I'll wait till Carlisle in July and that's only 250 miles. I sure miss Englishtown with their small Mopar meet.

You guys stop by my swap space and I'll give you a bent push rod or something else free maybe a busted piston.

I spoke to Mancini on Monday and he said they won't be attending any shows this year. I guess it's just not paying the rent to attend the shows anymore. In the past I've always purchased from them at the shows. There still a great source for Mopar parts we need.

My Son and I will be there 5Hrs from southern Illinois

Sucks to hear Mancini wont be attending. I bought some of their rocker arms from them last year.

I'll be there Saturday around 10 or 11.
I've got a hemi orange hoodie that has Dodge Dart on it. If you see me, please say something!

Deanna from Indy Cylinder Heads sent me this listing of those registered as commercial vendors. There are a couple more not on the list. The list also does not list those who register as a "swap meet vendor." Hope that this might help if your looking for someone in particular.

That's a pretty good list of vendors most guys would be looking for. The way the meets have been dwindling, that's probably the size of Carlisle. The only advantage would be more individual vendors at the PA meet. I don't think Indy has been there lately or Mancini.

I have a booth at Indy, been the last several years as well. Indy is probably closer to the Mopar Nats in terms of swap meet size. But it's no where NEAR Carlisle. I never got thru Carlisle despite spending an entire day there. The Nats and Indy booth can be gotten thru thoroughly in about 4 hours give or take.

I attended the Indy show on Sat., because the Ohio Dept. of Health said only parents and guardians could attend the Gymnastic meet my grand kids were competing in. I think you undersold the meet , the only problem I had was my wife with me and I couldn't buy everything i wanted. She just wouldn't understand and would probably say you have that already or do you really need it. I'm really glad I attended, but it was an 800 mile excursion. Good thing gas was a lot cheaper on the road than NY & NJ.

yeah, it was 10 times the crowd than last year and stuff was moving. By about 2 though, it had thinned out significantly. But I got some very good steals and made money on the weekend actually!

I agree! I thought it was definitely better than last year. And crowded Saturday morning, then almost a ghost town by 2:30.

yeah. I left at 230. Managed to get rid of everything, I was the guy trying to give away the A Body doors for free!

Figures!
I wasn't able to go due to reasons beyond my control.
I really, really wanted to go too.
