Passenger side mirror location for 67 Barracuda

The drivers door mirror on the 68 and 69 model is not in the same place as 67 model. If you put the passengers side mirror in the same measured position on 67 it wont conflict with vent window but the view is about worthless. If you put it in the 68/9 measured position the view is a little better but it does conflict with vent window.
So what to do?... Put a good amount of blue tape on the 67 passengers door. Measure where you drivers door mirror is and make some marks on your tape to match. Have a helper hold the mirror there and see what view you get. I don't know how far we can shift the mirrors foot before another issue arises, Foot pad doesn't seal? Door inner structure interferes with mirror mounting hardware?
Most owners add the passengers side mirror for only the exterior appearance anyway. There are a few who need a helpful view for trailer towing/backing. A long time back there was a member here who got the idea of convex mirror glass. The mirror he bought ( from Summit or Rocakauto for like 8 bucks, I forget ) was larger diameter. He cut it down fit and glued it on. He claimed a helpful view.
