My bad I thought that's what I explained they did LOL it's out on my garage floor I chalked both sides lifted one side off the ground sponge did you join one and a half times and the line still hadn't quite matched up yet. if I would have spent it another half time it would have passed.
Again.... STOP one axle from turning. Get an accurate count of turns. 3.25 turns is 3.23's, 3.5 turns is 3.55's

LOL that's what I'm doing okay so the first picture will be 1 1/2one and a half and it's just a little before lining up and the second picture will be 1 and 3/4 turns a little after lineup.. what do you think?..

That's what I was thinking too. I just didn't see that on a truck? usually I see 3.55 or up...
Not really. I've had 1/2 ton trucks with 3.21's in the 8.25. I think 3.23's would be quite common in a 1/2 ton

Tell us about the warlock down the street.
Well I'm fixing to go find out about it here in a few minutes hopefully. As a matter of fact someone just called for more parts for this truck and I told him I'll have to call you back because I may need them myself..
I'm already thinking of the parts that I shouldn't have sold!

I can tell you this that I'm already doing very well on the parts enough to maybe make an offer on this truck hopefully...

It was hit to hard..
The frame got pushed. The title is totaled.
It was sad...
It could make a profit, but...

Trucks had all kinds of ratios. 3.36 and 3.73 were a couple.
Look on the ring gear.

I crawled under my newly acquired 72 D100 today to check the ratio of my 8 3/4. I scraped the undercoating off the tag. It is a 2.94.

I have a 78 slant six full time 4x4 with 3.55 in a 8 1/4 rear, a slant powered 74 1/2 ton three speed with a 3.21 geared 9 1/4, 78 big block RC with 3.21, 65 1/2 ton with a 3.55 geared 8 3/4. All the 3/4 tons i have (8 or 9) are equipped with 4.10 gears.

Every 1/2 ton truck I ever had, regardless of engine or trans had 3.55, every 3/4 ton had 4.10.

Yeah, they can be all over for gear ratio's. My Dad's '82 Dodge D150 has 8.25 rear end with 3.21's. My '77 Ramcharger hasa 9.25 with 3.55's, my '85 Ramcharger has a 9.25 with 3.21's, My '01 Ram 2500 has 9.25 with 3.55's.
