That's a good reason to run it overhead! LOL. If the pole belongs to the power company or telephone company, they might pitch a fit if you attach a private line to it. If it belongs to you, no problems! :)
yep belongs to me. Just contacted my local electric company & the garage is going to get its own meter box. I want the garage to have its own electric bill. Just picked up an oil furnace & I have a 220 60 gallon compressor on its way.
