I have a few 741 case centers. How do u check if they are sure grip. one spins one way while other side spins in opposite direction?
No they will both turn in the same direction.

Why don't you just add a sure grip to yours? All you need are bearings and a dial indicator to set drive gear and pinion backlash.

1- I have no use for a 741 case. 2- it came out of a 340 duster that I restored and had the wrong 3rd member and it’s been under my bench for years I’ll never use it! If I wanted to make it a posi I would’ve a long time ago. Plus that pumpkin wouldn’t hold up to the kind of driving I do specially with a 4spd.
I was replying to the original poster. If you have no use for something take pictures and put it up for sale.
