I found a V8 K frame for my 1975 Plymouth Duster. The description lists it as a V8 K frame spool mount from a 74 Duster. Is the spool type for big block or small block cars. I'm looking for a small block k frame Not sure it would work.

Duster never got a big block so im pretty sure its for an LA. Not sure they changed ks for a 6 model but yhat would be expensive for a penny pinching auto maker.

The 75 Duster the Green one I'm working on has a /6 K frame with a 318. The K frame is cobbled together very badly. Even has a piece of a Lug nut wrench welded to it and then attached to the motor mount.

There were no factory big block duster, especially in 1975. It will bolt right in and work just fine.

And if you go with other than a 318 try to get the proper mount for the 340 or 360 block. Guys here sell them once in a while. They can't be bought new and the only other source was Shumacher but his business has been a thing of the past lately. Some guys shim it to fit with washers and nuts, but for me I acquired the right ones at Carlisle last year.

^^The replacement ones I've seen lately you can BEND them instead of using spacers for 340/360
