Sorry about the 322 poly listing, but there were so many older poly motors that '322' could have been some 1 year fluke, not the almost standard LA bolt housing 318 A. Marcohotrod posted "get the trans input retainer outside diam first - 4.3 4.8 5.1" and a small bell to match". The input retainer is the part that I was thinking (not front bearing retainer) that changed diameters over time.
