two simple plumbing questions

Removing them is never the issue
But even with the tool you mentioned it leaves a "unfinished" pipe, that once again requires soldering
And I dont trust my soldering enoug, and i dont want a leak in a cabinet where i wont notice it untill it's too late
They have shut off valves that have a compression fitting instead of the solder on type. Just make sure you have enough pipe sticking out of the wall to work with.
