Blanco- I do not know the gear ratio in the 7 1/4 i assume the ratio is stock for a /6. This is the housing that was in my car when I got it. No problems with it at all. I was just given an 8 3/4 with the purchase of my car that I cleaned up and installed because my daughter likes spending money on her purple car.
