The problem is he doesn't have the original bolts. Usually one is a stud and the other one is a bolt. The stud makes it so much easier to install the starter. If going to junk yard to get used starter ask for bolt and stud. If auto store purchase use the depth of starter and get about 1/2" longer. I believe their 3/8, but is it's 25 out there today so won't being going out to check.
